Description:The Columbus Zoo broadcasts all of its sessions from animal exhibit areas, immersing your students in the topic we are studying. Each session is based on national and Ohio state science content standards.

1.  View   Nocturnal Animals - While you were sleeping, you missed a lot! When the sun goes down, many animals are just starting their day! Become a nightwatcher with the Columbus Zoo and see how our five senses compare to those of nocturnal animals.
2.  View   Backyard Animals - Join us as we explore North American habitats and discover the plants and animals that live in our own backyard!
3.  View   Magnificent Manatees - Come with us on a rare underwater adventure as we visit the world of the West Indian Manatee. Students will become scientists as they explore these marine mammals through interdisciplinary activities. A CD ROM that supplements this program is available for an additional $10.00.
4.  View   Amazing Adaptations - Plants and animals adapt to their environment in many ways. Join us as we visit with a variety of species at the Columbus Zoo and discover the special behavioral and physical characteristics which allow these living treasures to survive in their natural habitats.
5.  View   Animal Classification - What makes a penguin a bird? DO all animals have a backbone? We will discover the answers to these questions and many more as we explore classification in the animal kingdom.
6.  View   Circle of Life - Students will be introduced to food webs as they explore the plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert.
7.  View   Endangered Species - Go on an expedition around the world to discover the reasons why animals become endangered and what we can do to help.
8.  View   I Want to Work at a Zoo - Students will explore the career opportunities that a zoo has to offer, and have the chance to engage in a question and answer session with an animal keeper.
9.  View   Marine Biology - Dive into the coral reef exhibit at the Columbus Zoo as we explore ocean habitats through interdisciplinary activities.
10.  View   Animals in Jeopardy - This program will discuss the reasons why animals become endangered, focusing on those most directly related to human actviities.
