Description:
Global Nomads Group (http://www.gng.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and understanding among youth. Using videoconferencing and satellite communications technology, GNG moderates conferences between K-12 classes in different countries, organizes virtual lectures, and conducts remote broadcasts from the world's historical and cultural sites.
Provider's Events:
1. View The Future of America - ****THE PULSE (Electoral Series) – The Future of America****
As the election season approaches, we thought it would be appropriate to bring students into the discussion. We’re thinking about the big picture: where does the US now stand on the world scene? More importantly, where do we want America and the world to go? Using videoconferencing, we’ll link schools from the four corners of the United States to talk about the important issues framing the debates. Up to 3 US schools will be paired together via videoconferencing per event.
Discussions will be moderated from the GNG offices in New York by Malia Lazu*, the National Field Coordinator for the Young Voter Alliance (an organization targeting youth voting in 5 states throughout the country) and one of the contestants on the political reality show “The American Candidate” (Showtime).
* Guest moderator to be confirmed.

GNG founders Jonathan Giesen, Chris Plutte and Mark von Sponeck will talk via videoconference to your class about their recent eye-opening journey deep into Eastern Chad’s remote border region.
