Description:The Aquatic Research Interactive's Project AquaQuest series is a live, interactive distance learning curriculum. Furthermore, it is a standards-based program that provides students and educators with unprecedented opportunities to extend the traditional student - teacher relationship beyond the walls of the classroom. Program content is designed to integrate distance learning instruction within existing curricula to provide direct applications in the areas of math, science, engineering, and technology.

1.  View   Diving into Biology - "Live Virtual Dive" - Join scuba divers in a dive into a coastal lagoon on the shores of Lake Michigan. During this live dive viewers see and investigate the many fish and creatures, both native and foreign, that reside in the fourth largest lake in the world.
2.  View   Diving into Geometry - Students measure, record, analyze and interpret geometric shapes and sizes in one, two and three dimensions, as they join scientific divers underwater.
3.  View   Diving into History - "Great Lake Shipwrecks - Explore Great Lakes ‘ maritime history by visiting three shipwrecks. Narration is provided by scientific divers who investigate the ships and their history and see how the development of shipping on the Great Lakes affected the development of the United States.
4.  View   Diving into Lake Invaders - The ecosystem of the Great Lakes is rapidly changing, due to the introduction of non-native species. Learn about the history of the invasions and steps being taken to halt them.
5.  View   Diving into Physics - Students learn how the ABC’s of Physics and Chemistry (Archimedes’ Principle, Boyle’s Law and Charles’ Law) work and are applied not only on land but also underwater.
6.  View   Diving into Solution to Pollution - Viewers learn to identify, categorize and assess various types of pollution through an interactive workshop, and arrive at reasoned solutions to the environmental problems that pollution causes.
7.  View   Diving into Space: Living & Working in Space - Venture underwater and then into space with NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Learn how humans adapt to living and working in environments where they cannot breathe, where normal body movements are not possible and how we modify our earthly tools to work in both inner and outer space.
8.  View   Diving into Toxic Releases Inventory - Join ARI staff and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in learning how to access the Internet to discover and determine who pollutes and how much it effects the environment. This information can empower the viewer to make informed decisions on the products they buy and where they live.
9.  View   Diving into Toys Underwater - Students join scuba divers and direct their actions through a series of experiments with many of the students’ favorite toys. By making predictions about how their toys will behave on land and underwater, students discover the scientific method.
10.  View   Diving into Wastewater - Students and educators take a virtual tour of the East Chicago Sanitary District Wastewater Treatment Plant. This plant is truly unique as freshwater sponges and salmon thrive there as a result of the plant’s unique cleansing techniques. ARI staff and sanitation personnel provide commentary and answer questions regarding water quality and this unique ecosystem.
11.  View   Let's Go Diving - Learn about the equipment and training required to become a scuba diver. The program covers past, present and future technology of scuba diving.
