Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis is a nonprofit educational consortium providing cooperative purchasing, technology, staff development, legislative, human resource, research and financial servies to public school districts in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Established by districts in St. Louis County some 70 years ago, CSD today serves districts throughout Missouri.

1. View Author Visit with Fred and Patricia McKissack - Storytelling - This is a series of 3 videoconferences. St. Louis authors, Patricia and Frederick McKissack, teach students how to write. During hands-on and highly interactive sessions, students discuss plot, themes, character development and more. In a series of three videoconferences, the McKissacks customize for any grade level and any part of the writing process. In the first videoconference, the authors meet with the teachers to discuss the goals of the author visit and what books they would like the McKissacks to present. In the second, the McKissacks dialog with students, and in the third videoconference they give feedback to students about the writing and illustrations the students have done. We do the author visits 4 times per school year. The dates for the 2004-2005 school year are as follows:
