Students and educators take a virtual tour of the East Chicago Sanitary District
Wastewater Treatment Plant. This
plant is truly unique as freshwater
sponges and salmon thrive there as a
result of the plant’s unique cleansing
techniques. ARI staff and sanitation
personnel provide commentary and
answer questions regarding water
quality and this unique ecosystem.
